About Babe Squad
Babe Squad Bootcamp had been taking charge of fitness for women in Perth & is hugely successful! A dedicated team of all female trainers is challenging & changing lives in this specialised program.
Ever had the experience of turning up to an exercise program or gym and feeling like you are invisible? That you needed to hide somewhere up the back but get stuck next to the really sweaty guy who hadn’t used deodorant for a while? Your training experience is about to change. Babes on the Run has started group personal training sessions outdoors for women only.
“It’s a great way to get your results” says Justine Guest, Director and Trainer at Babes on the Run. “We only have small groups, start one or two people at a time and work with you closely – it’s personal training but social!”.
The groups are designed for all ages and any stage of life from boot camp through to pre-natal and pram-fitness.
“Women have different bodies – we understand that. And because we are women ourselves, we have a vested interest in finding the most effective training programs and styles that cater for women!” says Guest.
Babes on the Run trains clients of any level from beginner through to advanced. They can do this because their programs instill good technique to enable clients to train properly from the start. “With proper technique and form, you can progress faster and safer” says Guest.
“The first few weeks can be pretty intensive as your body gets used to working differently and we stay with you to help you get everything right. Your trainer teaches you how to run, how to breathe and activate your body. It’s almost like starting again!” says Guest. “But we only work at each clients’ level – not at the groups level so you can rest assured you aren’t going to be asked to do something like 50 pushups if your body isn’t fit or ready. That causes injury and can be really confidence sapping”.
Getting results is high on the agenda with each specialised trainer working with clients closely to reach goals. “With support from their Trainer and the other clients in the groups, it’s really possible for all our clients to lose a couple of centimetres each week” says Guest. “We don’t do kilo’s – it’s not an effective tool for women. It’s so much better to work out the centimetres lost each week – lean muscle takes up much less space than body fat”.
Working in the groups makes personal training accessible to more women. It increases their confidence, creates new friendships and celebrates with them at each milestone.
So now you never need feel lost in the crowd or out of your depth. You too can tackle boot camp knowing you won’t be punished or left behind. Talking with Guest, I feel like any goal I set myself is possible. It’s this kind of inspiration that sees her clients now training to be triathletes, trainers and tackling competitive sports.
